The Odin 2’s Linux is absolutely amazing!

Linux on the Odin 2 is like opening up a whole new world of possibilities. It took me 4 days, lots of trial and error, and some Discord help to get it going. The graphical glitches can be a bit of a nuisance, but being able to play emulated games on a different OS is mind-blowing. It’s like giving your device a whole new superpower, and I’m excited to see where this can go. πŸ˜ŽπŸš€

My Experience

Today, I’m going to share with you my experience of getting Linux on the Odin 2. After about 4 days of searching on Google and gaining knowledge, I finally got Linux sort of running on the Odin 2. It was a cool and interesting process that involved some configurations and community support.

Graphic Glitches

I have managed to run Just Super Nintendo on it, and it runs quite well, although there are some graphical glitches every once in a while. These glitches may be due to my HDMI disconnecting, or there might be an issue with the USBC drive.

Running Linux on Odin 2

Linux is running on a second slot on the device, parallel to Android. This means that we can boot into either Linux or Android based on the need, creating an interesting environment for gaming and emulation.

"Yes, we can download emulation and some emulators need some configurations. I do have my mouse and keyboard connected right now."

Citra Emulation

I also tried some Nintendo 3DS emulation using Yuzu, and it ran quite well. I experienced a bit of flickering, but overall, it was a positive experience. I may consider flashing my Android back to stock and explore further possibilities.

Windows Variant for Odin One Pro

I’m considering trying to boot Windows onto my Odin One Pro variant. It’s a bit of a dated process, but it could open up a new world of gaming. There are bugs and tweaks to figure out, but it’s an exciting project to undertake.

Connection and Configurations

I’ve had some issues with screen flickering and connectivity, but overall, I find it fascinating to be able to use the Odin 2 as a standalone computer with the right configurations for mouse and keyboard.

Testing Switch Emulation

I also tested some Nintendo Switch emulation, and while there are some graphical issues, I believe that it’s a neat option to have for tinkering with gaming and emulation.

Community Support

I had to flash my Odin 2 multiple times, and it wasn’t without its challenges. However, the community support and the ability to troubleshoot and figure out the configurations kept me going, and that’s what got me excited about this entire process.

Conclusion 🌟

Overall, the process of running Linux on the Odin 2 has been a learning experience. While there are challenges and bugs to navigate, the possibilities for gaming and emulation are endless. I hope to continue exploring and sharing more content in the future. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!
