Connect Facebook Messenger to Gmail easily for seamless communication.

Integrating Facebook Messenger with Gmail is like setting up a dynamic communication duo, where every message sent to our Facebook page triggers an automatic email sent from Gmail. Zapier’s no-code tool makes it a breeze to link 5000+ apps, ensuring seamless workflows. With a few simple steps, you can empower your communication game and elevate your user engagement. ๐Ÿš€

Setting Up the Trigger App for Facebook Messenger ๐Ÿ“ฑ

To get started with integrating Facebook Messenger and Gmail, I need to create a zap by clicking the button on the left-hand side of the screen. Because I want Facebook Messenger to trigger an email in Gmail, I’ll need to use Facebook Messenger as my trigger. I can find the app by typing it into the search bar and clicking below the trigger screen to set it up.

Data Set UpSelecting the page I want to use as my trigger

I should click "new message sent to page" as my event and then click continue. This ensures that anytime Facebook sees a message has been sent to our selected page, it’s going to run this workflow. The first time we set up Facebook Messenger, I’ll need to authenticate it with Zapier, but it’s totally safe to do so because Zapier uses industry standards for encryption when connecting with each of your apps.

Setting Up the Action App for Gmail ๐Ÿ“ง

Next, I’ll need to set up the action for Gmail. I can do this by typing "Gmail" into the search bar, selecting it from the drop-down menu, and then clicking "Send email" to proceed. After that, I’ll select our account and authenticate Gmail with Zapier just like I did with my Facebook account.

RecipientType in the email address you want to send the message to
SenderPick the email address and name you want the message to be sent from
SubjectCustomize the subject of the email
BodyChoose the text you want to include in the email

Then, it’s time to assign our trigger app’s data into the action app’s field. I’ll click "Test action" to ensure everything is set up correctly, and I should be all set! Now, anytime a message is sent out to our Facebook page, an email will automatically be sent from our selected Gmail account.

I hope this was a helpful demo on integrating Facebook Messenger and Gmail using Zapier. There’s so much more that Zapier can do with these two apps and thousands of others, so make sure to check it out with the free trial available. ๐Ÿš€
